Among all the Jacob Arabo’s timepiece styles, one of the most precious is the limited edition Diamond Tourbillon, which combines the sophistication of a tourbillon device with a full 15.80 carat gem-quality pave diamond case and dial.
Jacob the Jeweler Arabo's brilliant yet simple dial also includes a jeweled, circular date indicator at the twelve o’clock position, with the rotating tourbillon device visible at the six o’clock position.
The Diamond Tourbillon from Jacob the Jeweler is offered in platinum and 18K rose gold. Only 18 pieces will be produced in each metal.
The 25-jewel movement features a mechanical, manual winding tourbillon device, STT 13.75 caliber. It also has a right-angle level escapement and a 72 hour power reserve. (The tourbillon device’s purpose is to eliminate errors of rate in the vertical position. It consists of a mobile carriage or cage carrying all of the parts of the escapement, with the balance in the center. The escape pinion turns about the fixed fourth wheel. The case makes one revolution per minute, thus annulling errors of rate in the vertical positions).
